Final Meeting!

I have enjoyed this year but glad the stress is over! I thought it would be easy to scrapbook after all it's what we like to do, well after having a deadline and the pressure of making sure you have a good enough layout with the DT of 2009 I found very tough to keep of with! Thanks for my peeps for all the advice!

I will miss our group, we had a great bunch of very very talented ladies and I have learned so much from each of you! To be on the Design Team with all of you was such a previlage! The talent in this group is definately magazine material!!!!!!

Thanks to all of you and I really enjoyed our monthly meetings! Hopefully we can see and still keep intouch and hopefully everyone keeps up their blogs. I will keep my up so you can see what's going on with my life from now and then!

Will miss you all, thanks for a great year Melissa your are a great leader!

DT # 7 Final Assignment

Well, the final assignment was to follow a sketch, we had a choice 1 of 4 from the blog 52 sketches. Well I decided to do 2 sketches and combine it as a two page layout. We had to use the cameo, webster's stitch shapes which is the baby blue circle (suppose to be a hot air balloon) which is in the picture above inside the word circle. Well also had to use the Tattered Angel cardstock with the embossed owled, the webster's patch with hot air balloons and the blue wings attached to it.
I found doing a sketch tough, thought it would be easy but with the embellishments given hard to match with paper and find a theme. Try to make it work. Hope you can see the story i was trying to give it.

DT # 6 Assignment

This my project I choose for my DT layout - products that were mandatory were canvas, canvas ribbon, butterfly button, orange iron-on flowers, orange distress stickles, book hardcover, a card that didn't match anything, and brown felt stems that are in around the pumpkins.
To be continued need to find some information for the rest of the details. BRB

3rd Group Night

I love group nights. I learn so much and the creativity just seems to flow so easy when you have 2 heads insead of one! I worked with Tanya this night. We were giving a choice to either do a 1 page or 2; so we decided to do something different and do a 1 page. Our only challenge was to use Webster's Page - Beautiful Life. Well, we pulled our 5 papers and it's like we had the same idea. Tanya always puts her awesome creations with her flowers and materials and I have the placement part. I enjoy and respect her as a women and definitely as a scrapbooker!

DT # 5 Assignment

For this assignment I choose the Bo Bunny pet line for paper. We were to use Smooch liquid pearl accent and Coordinations cardstock paper. I used the coordinations as punched circles which was a requirement I sanded paw prints to bring lighter color out, I also used the coordinations crinkled up and sanded. I used 4 different printed paper and also 4 photos which was also some of our challenges. Another challenge was to use 3 different edged paper, I cut the diamonds as 1 edge, 2nd edge was a shagged edge and the 3rd was the scalloped. The smooch was pretty fun to use. The journalling tab wasn't the same color and also the doggone addorable circle at the top was pink. So I took the blue smooch and traced over the colors that I needed to match. Smooch is also on the paw prints as the outline and I use smooch on techquie tuesday circles and then glossy accented them and the turned out looking like buttons. So there you have it my Pup to Stud!

Summer is over and School is Back In

Skylar was in the BMS Chorus they went to New York to perform and took home 5 awards. They came home and did a Spring Concert and performed the awarding winning performance for all the parents and students. It was beautiful and such an amazing experience for Skylar.

Well we took the plunge and invested in an underground pool this year. I was amazed at each process so I took each phase and what well came up with this layout. The Paper couldn't have fit better. The final picture with the arrows pointing to the pool is the final stage of filling it up. Our pool is not green that is just the wonderful Broussared water at first it is a beautiful blue color now. We love and it was ready for Mother's Day!!!!!

I never want my husband to feel left out, I scrap everyone else so I did his own fishing page and he loved it. My grandparents have a pond on their property up north and we also have fished their and always just caught brim well it was Kevin's lucky day, not one bass but two big beautiful bass. And he throw them back, but gave me a chance to scrapbook the memories~

I apologize for not being a current blogger but atleast once a month if not more I will start being more faithful with my blog. I love looking at everyones elses and finding new ones, it's only fair to let mine be up to date.

I am excited to be back on a schedule and having meetings again, they are very motivational, so I can't wait to see everyone Wednesday.

I have a few layouts that I did do over the summer here are a couple and I have been working on summer layouts so as soon as the pictures are on them I will have them up soon as well.
